I've got some let over grains which make up a suitable grain bill for an IPA (will give light body with slight hints of caramelized malts). Boil time 60 min. Using US-05, fermenting at 62-63F.

I've got the following hops (unopened) and would prefer to leave 2 of them still unopened:

1. Centennial ≈ 4oz (100g)
2. Citra ≈ 4oz (100g)
3. Chinook ≈ 4oz (100g)
4. Cascade ≈ 4oz (100g)
5. Galaxy ≈ 4oz (100g)

What would your hop schedule look like in this situation?? (dry hopping must be included).
I'll be brewing a 2,5 gallon batch for this one - so there should be enough even for a single-hopped IPA.. Don't worry about scaling down the recipe - I'm capable of doing that ;-)

Chinook @ 60
Cascade @ 20
Centennial @ 10
Centennial @ 5
Citra @FO
Citra dry hop

Leave the Galaxy for another day...

Cheers!

Thanks for the suggestion :mug: - Although not completely in compliance with the stated..

Bitter with maybe .3oz chinook. then 1.2oz each flavor hop @ 20,15,10. Dry hop with remaining .8oz of the flavor hops for a week.

I would do:

.5 Chinook 60mins
.5 Cascade 45 mins
.5 Cascade 30 mins
.5 Cascade 15 mins
.5 Cascade 5 mins
.5 Citra 0 mins
.5 Citra Dry Hop

I am not great at downscaling recipes so the amounts might need to be adjusted, but that is the schedule I would use.

Cool, thanks - Only dry hopping with one?

I'd go with day tripr's suggestion but change chinook to centennial FWH and dry hop with .5 oz of all three

Jeeze, I totally missed that you wanted to reserve two of the hops.

Ok then, scratch the Cascade, it's the most generic of the four I used.

Chinook @ 60
Centennial @ 20
Centennial @ 10
Citra @ 5 (but if you're into pine, change to Chinook)
Citra @ FO
Citra dry hop

I obviously dig Citra...

Cheers! :)

I'll go for something like this!
