Brewing an extract recipe. I tend to have beers while I'm brewing. Probably not a good idea. I put in the un opened container of liquid malt extract while the water was heating up to a boil in order to thin it out and make it easy to pour ImageUploadedByHome Brew1404489471.511969.jpg. Now I seem to have large chunks of something floating around. What is this? Is it a result of preheating the LME?

To me, it looks like hot break. Coagulated proteins from the steeping grains. Does it look like flakes of egg, kind of like egg drop soup? If it is, it will all fall out of suspension during fermentation. I wouldn't worry.
