Well I've been doing the semi-open fermenting for awhile now never had any issues. Tonight I walk in the door and the smell hit me right away, my thoughts were either the tap on the Kegger got hit or something happened with the batch I picthed on Monday. Turns out my krausen got so big it lifted the top off my Bucket.. I guess that yeast starter really worked!

Time to invest in some carboys/blow offs.

I have a couple carboys one is in use then other I could have used.. I normally use them for a secondary if I go to secondary. now that I think about it the carboy wouldn't stood a chance hardly any head space, compare with the bucket beside it in the picture. This will probably be my best brew yet!!

Wow it jus won't give up.. I just went to looked again and it's moved the lid again.. happy yeasties!!
