Has anyone tried using parachute cord for the verticals, I used the bailing twine last year and it was trashed by the end of the year, the parachute chord has a rating of 250#. I think Im going to give it a try, unless of course someone advises against it?:mug:

I haven't tried parachute line, but it sounds like it might be a good idea. My only concern would be that the cord might be too slick for the hops to get a good hold on. I used sissal twine last year and it worked really well. It's still in good shape so I'll probably use the same lines again this year. It was cheap and I got about 50 feet more than i needed, so I can replace the lines i have if they wear out. My project this year is to build a better arbor to support my lines.
