Thread-type for putting corny-keg posts on other things?

I've seen a number of HBS's selling adapters from NPT to the thread that the Pepsi style corny-keg posts screw on to, but they are very expensive (with shipping), given the quantity I am interested in, and the fact that I'm in Canada.

Anyone know if the part they screw in to is available in Home-Depot type stores. I can go welded or weldless fittings.

You will have a hell of a time finding them as the thread is somewhat unique (defiantly not in any big box store). I got mine for OBK (Canada), ok price considering and I don't count shipping as I can always find something else I want there.
