Thermonster! What is it for? What is it worth?

Hey Guys, I'm looking for a price check on the attached. I assume it was used for candy or other high-temp applications. Comes with a threaded thermowell. Apx 12" tall, dial is apx 6" diameter (brass 1/2" nipple shown for scale). Appears to be SS throughout.

Whatever it is, I'm sure someone could bling out their rig with it, this thing is super-beefy!

Any idea what it is for and worth? Thanks!

I'm not sure what they are normally used for, maybe steam? But this looks like the same thing, $87 new plus $33 for the thermowell.

Bump: top offer is $35 but I think (hope!) it is worth a little more than that...would rather trade for stuff to make the whirlpool ports.
