Smells like dark roast coffee, very thick mouthfeel, alcohol is hidden very well.

I can just imagine letting this one age a the bottle. Definitely interesting!
 
The recipe is 54% brewhouse efficiency. 80% (my consistent brewhouse) makes it more manageable for me. Looks tasty.

I borrowed my neighbor's MLT and I used mine as well. I split the grain and water between both when I doughed-in/mashed-in.

It won't make it to bottles. It's currently on-tap and I'm midway through the keg (between bottling some for friends, HBT folks and the neighbors).
 
Looks fantastic, how long did you age it?

Not long. I let it go for roughly three months. It tastes great just the way it is, at this time, right off of the tap. I was originally thinking of letting this age in my 20-liter barrel. But, after tasting this, I decided against it. It doesn't need oak.

I essentially doubled-up on my normal RIS recipe and that is how I ended-up with this. I can barely detect the alcohol in this beer; it's pretty thick and the aroma does not hint alcohol.
 
Sounds awesome! But no way itd fit in my kettle lol. Gonna have to do some thinking on if i can make this guy work. Is the slimmed down version of this just halved?

Yes, it is. Just cut it in-half and give it a shot. :mug:
