So I did 6 oz of hops in my first batch to make an ipa

2 oz galena 60 min
1 oz cascade 20 min
1 oz simcoe 20 min
1 oz cascade 4 min
1 oz simcoe 4 min

I put em in bottles yesterday and it had a very bitter taste. Will this taste die down while carbonating in the bottles? Or have I just made one of the most bitter beers of all time?

You can't really get IBUs over 100 and i've had and brewed plenty of em so you haven't broken any records! I find the bitterness will fade with time. Don't worry until your bottles are carbed

I'm with gstrawn, let er sit. Always seems to mellow a bit and taste a bit different when carbed.
