so saw some oliver's mead in the grocery store for 5 bucks a bottle, the bottle was pretty cool so I grabed some of there straight mead and Black Cherry Mead. now they had obviously a pretty artifical taste to them, but honestly I kinda liked the Black Cherry Mead, and Wife LOVED it lol (she likes semi sweat light summery wines) now looking for a way to reproduce this.

Was thinking of getting a Red island Mist kit and instead of adding surgar like I normally do to boost the ABV I would add 5lb of honey. I would add a bit more fpac than I normally do, and then when its time to back sweaten with whats left of the fpac I'll add another lb of honey to get a bit more honey aroma to it.

what you guys think of this idea?
