Well a while back I was asking about the PPG of Flaked Potatoes and i believe they are much higher than other flaked adjuncts. I really just wanted to report that flaked potatoes will in fact make good beer. I actually think that it came out cleaner tasting than either corn or rice that I have used previously.

Recipe was very simple :

7lbs 2 row
4 oz acidulated malt
1.67 lbs of instant Walmart brand potato flakes.

OG came up to 1.051

It is clearing up nicely in keg now. It is extremely pale and very crisp/clean.

I saw the title and expected raw potatoes. And wondered how you accounted for the water content.
