ok, so I stumbled upon the idea of using spent grains for dog biscuits instead of my mulch pile.
So I found this recipie on a craft breweries web site.

4 cup spent grains
2 cups flour
1 cup PB
2 eggs.

Bake at 350 for 30 mins.
Bake at 250 for 2 hrs to dry out.

I had no idea what I was doing.
My poor dog.
She is like:

My poor pup has such a sensitive stomach/digestive system she'll never know the joys of treats..fortunately I have a neighbor with chickens and my local zoo is always happy to take my grains.

If you find a good recipe for spent grain pretzels let me know though!

I make these a lot. Honestly, if they had some sugar to make them sweeter they’d taste good to humans too I think. They sure smell good baking.

We have been known to snack on them at the brewery . A little honey in there would make it like a granola bar.

Is there much nutritional value left in spent grain? I give a bit to the chickens but not a huge amount thinking it’s just filler.
