Hey Guys,

Is it unusual that my siphon (an auto siphon) takes like 20 minutes to transfer 5 gallons of beer? I always have the bottom of the vessel I'm siphoning from above the top of the vessel I'm siphoning into.

Is there anything I could have done wrong when setting the siphon up? (when I bought it, the hose wasn't attached to the cane, so I spiced the end of the tube slightly and jammed it on to the cane)

If any air is getting into the hose you will break the siphon. I had an issue with air getting sucked in, so I taped the hose connection with electrical tape. You should be able to transfer 5 gallons in about 5 minutes.

Also make sure your cane isn't getting clogged with yeast and hop gunk on the bottom of the bucket.
