I am looking for a simple partial mash recipe to do for my first partial. I am looking for a amber to darker beer with a good spice that would be good for the fall time. Does anyone have something that they would like to share?

Sounds like you'd be happy with any number of the pumpkin beer recipes around. You could always leave out the pumpkin and just make it a spiced beer. The reason I suggest this is because they are mostly amber to brown beers with spices, so it fits pretty closely to what you're looking for.

Some might recommend staying away from a pumpkin recipe for your first partial mash because it can cause stuck sparges, but if you're doing BIAB, it isn't too bad at all.

I just brewed a partial mash recipe that I developed. It was my first recipe and first partial mash, and I thought it went well (except for a little temperature problem I had, but that was my fault).

It's called Moon Hill Pumpkin Ale: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f76/moon-hill-pumpkin-ale-260064/

Or you could peruse the Spice/vegetable beer recipe database: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f76/

There's a bunch of great recipes there. :mug:

EDIT: Here's a "holiday ale" partial mash you might like. I haven't brewed this one. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f76/holliday-ale-216511/

What about an Oatmeal Stout from Northern Brewer? I'm looking to move up to PM for my next batch and the Oatmeal Stout has great reviews. Plus, I've heard this is where the benefits of PM/AG come in to play, since the oats really need to be mashed in order to obtain the full flavor. This will most likely be my next brew.
