I finished fermenting 5 gallons 6-7 weeks ago and have been so busy I have not been able to bottle the beer.
This afternoon I removed the fermenter lid to add my priming sugar and found the surface is covered in a thick substance.
Seems clear that I waited too long and now the beer has something unconscionable on the surface.
Thoughts?
