I was wondering, does anyone sanitize their bottles when bottling from a keg just for a short period? I.e. taking some brews to sample that evening? I'm figuring it isn't necessary but curious what others do.

Thanks!

I don't, shouldn't be any different than having a growler filled at a micro brewery and they just usually make sure the growler is clean. I sure check to make sure they are clean, have no smell, and rinse them, then call it good.
Cheers

i used to sanitize them if i knew they were going to sit warm for a couple days... if i'm just going somewhere for the night and know they are going to be consumed i just rinse them, make sure they are debris free and chill them in the freezer for a little bit

Cool, thanks folks! The reassurance was very helpful. Good point on the growlers too, I hadn't even thought of it that way.

Cheers!
