Homebrewers often ask us "Which membrane should I choose for my RO System?"

Background: ALL the residential scale RO membranes from 24 to 200 gpd make water slowly.

It help to think about the factory specifications on our membranes. 24 to 100 gpd membranes are made by Filmtec. 150 and 200 gpd membranes are made from Filmtec sheet stock.

Remember that if you have less pressure and or lower water temperature than factory spec conditions, your membrane performance will be reduced.

Note that membranes producing greater than 100 gpd require higher pressure - most people do not have 65 psi in their home's plumbing.

Based upon all this, the most common residential membrane selected by homebrewers is the 100 gpd model.
