Reverse growing cones any insight?

Alright me and the local hop grower around me are having this problem and trying to figure out what the problem or what the reason is behind it, we come cones his is cascade day time pic below and mine is Columbus night time pic below the cones are sorta growing backwards and reverse to how I ever saw cones come in before. He said his cascades did this last year too but then flipped and had a normal harvest and normal cones. Any help and in sight would be awesome thanks guys
