How do I remove the hose from the picnic faucet and quick disconnect without damaging the faucet and QD?

i just cut that 3/8" of hose right off the picnic tap, then I slit the hose so it can be peeled right off.
QD's come in two varieties. Mine just have the barbed ends, which I just usually cut and redo the line so it gets a nice tight new connection.
