So had the worst brew day I have ever had last night. Won't go into detail but have one important question. I brewed an IPA and threw in an oz of oak cubes in the primary (prior to pitching yeast). Problem is I forgot to sanitize the oak cubes. Is this an infection in the making??

Any input would be appreciated.

Well you really don't sanitize oak cubes per se. most soak them in bourbon/whiskey/vodka prior to adding them to the secondary Just wait n see you'll probably be ok with all your yeast raping and piliging your wort.

Thanks stvo. That is what I figured. I just wanted to see if anyone else has done this and didn't have a problem.
