Hello fellow brewers.
Got a used pin-lock keg, an old coca-cola. I replaced all the poppets as I have done with other kegs, with ferroday ones. The gas post is giving me problems. The o-ring on the poppet creeps up into the crack when I put on the post, so that you can actually see a little of the black o-ring around the rim of the poppet. No leaks, none at all. But with my last keg, a damn good pale ale!!!! the gas didn’t get into the keg enough, and you had to stand there for about a minute and a half to fill your beer. I’ve switched to another new poppet, same problem. Not happening in my other kegs, just this one. I’m thinking that the poppet hole on the gas post is too wide or something. Any clues?
Thanks brothers and sisters!
