Plastic fermentors

If my plastic fermenting buckets smell like beer, will that affect the taste/smell of future beers that get fermented in that bucket?

Yes it will make them taste like... Gulp.... BEER!

Nothing noticeable. Just soak it in pbw if it worries you.

I soak'em in PBW to clean,then rinse well. Rinse it with starsan after that. If it has a spigot,remove,clean & sanitize it,it's parts,& the mounting hole. The spigot & mounting area can hold some old beer stuff & smells like it. It can also possibly infect the next beer. So I clean them every time.
