Hi all guys,

I am about to make ca. 2x40l of lager beer. For this reason I first made 2l starter from a WP vial. Then a 10l batch using that starter. After the batch is fermented I expect to have enough yeast to ferment 40l of lager. But for the second batch of 40l of lager I planned to take like 5 or 6 liters from the first batch while in high kreusen state. May I expect good results?

I've heard of that but have never known anyone who has done it - I think that was a standard approach a few hundred years ago, perhaps? In any case, good luck with the experiment and let us know how it turns out!
