So, I am interested in building one of those unistrut brew stands, but I do not and will not have any indoor space to store it for the foreseeable future. Does anyone have a brew stand that is stored outside? If so, how do you protect it? Are there any extra precautions or care instructions that you recommend?

I would say lots of coats of Rustoleum paint, high heat paint near the burners. Cover with a waterproof tarp. Leave the bottom uncovered so condensation is not trapped.

I have one, and do nothing special.
Had it for a few months now and I'm only seeing slight rust issues where I made cuts.

If you're really worried, do what was said above and use proper paint as needed.

ETA: Mine is outdoors 24/7

If mine had no electronics on it and was 100% manual I would have it outside with a grill cover on it.
