I'm surprised you've never seen that before. I've posted it whenever someone's asked about the origin of the term. It is fascinating how it's become adopted by the brewing community.
Another group who I've heard use it, believe it or not are biochemists. But my understanding is a lot of them at one time or another homebrew because a lot of them work with beer yeast somewhere during their studies since it's an easy microorganism to study, and they may have pulled it from the hbing community.
