Just as an FYI.
I know lots of people are always freaking out about Best By dates and is my yeast good or not, blah blah. I'm not the only one who thinks the MrMalty calculators are BS about % viability of properly stored yeast.
I had a tube of WLP802 in the fridge for a year and I'm finally getting around to doing a lager. First I tried it with 1/2G of 1.032, it fired up and was done in less than 24 hours. I made another 1.5G in two gallon jugs to step it up and it hammered the crap out of it. All smells great, and can't wait to pitch it into my lager.
