As a tribute to the man who taught us all to shoot for the stars I brewed up a pumpkin spice Hefe, and I would appreciate some feedback.

2# 2 row
8oz carapils
8oz pilsner
1# wheat malt
4# wheat DME
1# quick oats
3 cans pumpkin guts

1oz hallertau 60 min
1 oz hallertau 15 min
3tbl spn pumpkin pie spice

Mash all the grains (except the oats, I forgot them...) @150 for 75 minutes
Sparge with 170F

Boil, add oats and hops.
With 15min left in boil add 2 tbl spoons spice

cool and pitch safeale 05 and 1 table spoon of spice

OG 1.070
5.5 gallons

This thing is violently fermenting away, blew the airlock out of the carboy at 630 this morning so I hooked up a blow off tube.

What do you think? It smells exactly like pumpkin pie.
