I have a 15 gallon kettle I use for BIAB, and I was wanting to make some changes to it, and I am not sure how to proceed. Currently the kettle has all wellness fittings: 1.5 in TC port, thermowell and a sightglass. I wanted to weld on a TC port with a threaded section in the kettle so I can use my bazooka screen again, remove the thermowell (it doesn't really do much for me) and put in a tangential inlet for whirlpooling.
With this much work, would it be best to get one new? If not, I need some help finding the right fittings to have the welder incorporate.
