Hey all, I'm excited to browse the different sections of HBT and check out the pictures. I started brewing about 2 years ago, but started with Mr. Beer kits. I out grew those kits and started buying equipment to brew 5gal batches. I also wanted to actually start brewing beer, not just boiling some HME and adding yeast.
Anyhow, I'm now looking up recipes and doing partial-mash brews 1x a month or so. I've had pretty good luck so far.
My general taste in beer is on the dark side. I'm a big fan of porters and stouts. I also like a good, hoppy IPA.
