Need advice: White Chocolate Raspberry Beer

So I may have a little extra time to brew this evening and I have been kicking around the idea of a white chocolate raspberry beer. I would use raspberries and cocoa nibs in secondary for the flavors. And I want it to be a lighter beer, not a stout or anything like that. But, to be honest, I'm a bit stumped as to what the base beer should be like.

Anybody have any suggestions? I thought maybe a Wit... but then I thought that that could get weird. Any ideas? Also, what about for hops?
