Just took some pics of the cabinet I've been using for my conical. It's a 27 gal Stout Tanks conical
Has a small air conditioner for cooling and 2x 150W heat bulbs for heating. The temp controller inside the cabinet monitors ambient temp and AC ice-up and kills the heating/cooling if it gets too hot/cold inside. I actually have a 2 stage controller I'm putting in as soon as it's empty. Walls have 3 1/2" of foam insulation with FRP inside. It holds temp very well. AC rarely has to run even in a garage that's mid 80s.
The double airlock I did so that it doesn't suck sanitizer all the way back up into the fermenter when I crash chill it to drop the yeast, or dumping trub, etc.
6" Yeast Collection tube off the bottom and a sample valve. I intended to mount those blocks it stands on, but it's nice to be able to move them around and gave up trying to encase them in FRP.
Kind of a temporary setup with the long cords, but the fan from the AC runs when it's heating, so it blows the heat off them pretty well
Probe for the interior controller is right on the cooling coils. It's sucking in past the coils so it reads ambient pretty well and as soon as the AC starts to ice up, it kills the compressor, but continues with the fan so it de-ices itself very well. Haven't had an issue and I can run the cabinet empty down to like 5 degrees. Full, I only run the beer down to like 35 with no problems.
