I brewed an all grain golden strong ale, should be about 5 SRM. After a 4 wk primary, I cold crashed it then secondary for 2 months. Then bottled for 3 weeks. All the grav samples were light color and crystal clear. When I hold a bottle up to the light at room temp, crystal clear. After putting it in the fridge for 2 days (2 different bottles at 2 different times) they pour like murky pond water and are about 8-9 SRM? What gives?

They taste good at least...but I am thoroughly confused about the color change mostly.

Sounds like chill haze.

1. Full rolling boil;
2. Irish moss;
3. Rapid chill;

If that doesn't work, then
4. Give it time in the fridge (like, 3 weeks);
5. RDWHAHB

About a year ago, I was all set to post a rant called "All My Beers Are Gray". But it got better.

Cheers!
