Hi Folks,
I'm new to the threads, and new to Home Brewing. My mate left for overseas and gave me his home brew set up so I thought I would try my hand at a Cider for my first go, since the wife and I have been on a bit of a cider craze lately.
Anyway, my batch has been in the fermentor for 2 weeks today and has had a reading of 1.020 for the last 48 hours with little to no bubbling going on.
Someone told me I should stir up the yeast to see if that kicks things off again.
I'm in Australia and it is currently the middle of winter - temp has been reading around the 21-22 degree mark since putting the brew down.
My mix is a Black Rock Cider Kit with 2kg Sugar (wanted it to be a little alcoholic...) plus 14L of Berri Apple Juice (No additives) and roughly 4L of Water.
It initially tastes pretty good, but also has a Champagne taste about it to me.
Any help would be appreciated!
