I got this kit to convert my new 15 Gallon Concord Pot kettle.
I managed to get the hole drilled with a 5/16 cobalt drill bit as a pilot hole and a Greenlee Step Bit.
The problem is that when I put the kit together, I still have about a 3/16" gap between the gasket and the inside wall of the kettle. I'm going to end up putting another washer on the inside and another on the outside to try to take up the gap.
Is this normal? The ball valve and the coupler just do not seem to be seating on the 1/2"" SS nipple just. It's kind of frustrating.
I'm open to suggestions to make this work.
Thanks!
