My father-in-law likes Moose Drool a lot, I know he found it somewhere in the northeast Iowa or in Wisconsin somewhere along the Mississippi between LaCrosse and Prarie du Chien.

I'd make him a clone, like Caribou Slobber, but he has stopped drinking my homemade stuff ever since I gave him half a bottle of barleywine to try after supper one day, and I don't know why...
 
Moose Drool is one of my "must haves" in the beer fridge. It's a solid, all-around brown ale that I enjoy any time of year. It's an excellent gateway beer for guests who want to try a "dark beer." Or those who think Newcastle is the only brown to drink. They usually end up liking MD.
