MLT (cooler type) thermometer? what are ya using

I picked up one of these, hope it works well. Its a digital cooking thermometer. Just kinda curious if your using something simular.

I have one similar to that, that I purchased from Midwest. Make sure you check the accuracy, mine reads 5° lower than the other 2 hand held digital thermometers that I have.

I have tried this style and would recommend sealing the probe where the cord enters. About half way through my first mash the temp shot up about 30 degrees, I assume wort infiltrated to the connections inside and changed electrical resistance and thus the indicated temperature. My thought on sealing this is a coating of food grade silicone. I have not tried it yet however.
