The amount of priming sugar that I am given with my Midwest Extract Kit is a little more than it says to use in the instructions. Should I just follow the instructions or use the full amount they gave me?

I'm not sure how much they give you- 4 or 5 ounces (by weight) of corn sugar seems about right.

I normally use 1 ounce of corn sugar per finished gallon of beer, for a nice carb without being overcarbed.

If you have a little kitchen scale for weighing priming sugar and hops, that would be best.

I like to prime to style, which is done by weight in most priming calculators. If there's any dextrose left,I seal it up & save it. On the lighter side,Midwest doubled my order recently,I now have 2-4lb bags of dextrose! I think maybe they'll last a while?...
