Noticed an increasing number of small bubbles attached to the side of my air valve . Is this indicative of any problem? real or imagined? this is my first brew it is a german wheat it is on its forth day in secondary.

How long was it in the primary? Most wheat beers can be done as early as 10 days without the need of a secondary. But I let mine go 14 days in the primary. The bubbles are nothing to worry about. There will come a time whenre no more bubbles come out. All it means is that the active part of the fermentation is coming to an end. But it doesn't mean the yeast aren't finished.

If they are like these or smaller you are fine. Just slowly fermenting still
