Hi Folks,

Just brewed my first batch in 15+ years earlier today. I'm getting back in with the idea of eventually brewing some darker GF beers for my wife. Been reading a lot on GF recipes and it all looks pretty manageable.

For 1 pound of roasted malt for a recipe, how much raw grain is needed. In otherwise, after you sprout, dry, clean, and roast the grain how much yield do you actually get?

I usually count on losing 25% of my original grain weight. So if you wanted 1 lb, you'd have .75x=1. That mean's you'd need 1.333333 pounds of starting grain.
