I have an issue where I'm getting a gas leak where the end of my line reaches the base of my quick disconnect. Since the end of the gas tube isn't fully flush against the plastic base of my quick disconnect gas is slowly leaking out, fast enough that I can hear and feel it, if I put my finger over where the gas tube isn't fully flush I can hear the pitch of the leak change so I know thats where its leaking.
Below I took a picture of where the tube meets the QD (left) and where it just falls short of being flush (right). I've tightened the clamp down to the point where I feel like any more tightening might cause screw stripping. The tube I'm using is 5/16 x 7/16 and without a clamp it fits very loosely on the barb, almost to the point where it seems like it could be too big for the barb (although they were sold together).
Would adding some teflon tape around the barb help solve this issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
