Has anyone used the new, reddish pink gaskets yet? I'm assuming they're replacing the deep red ones.
I was bottling yesterday and they are the worst. They're plastic-like and inflexible. I had to use a ton of effort just to get one on the swing-top.
I contacted LD Carlson to let them know what a joke the product is. You need two pairs of pliers basically and a second person. I tried stretching the hole to no avail. Plus, I don't want to have to condition a gasket just to make it work. With great effort, I was able to use a towel to pull it onto the top. I was furious as it slowed me down greatly.
Anyway, part rant and part curiosity if anyone's had an experience with these abominations.
