So I'm looking at making a lager, nothing special or big or crafty, just something to knock back at the end of a hot day and share with non-crafty beer drinking friends.

To do this I bought some Gladfield lager light malt, which as far as I can see is just really light 2 row, and shouldn't need a 90 minute boil like their pilsener. They also have a slightly darker "Ale malt" in their range

I have added the info from the website below, if anyone could let me know their thoughts on dealing with it that would be great.

I was hoping that a regular mash (around 65° so on the low/dry side) and 60 min boil would suffice.

Lager light is made especially for brewing an all malt lager where a light colour is desirable. It can also be used alongside Gladfield wheat malt when brewing delicate bright clean wheat beers where low colour formation is important and a clean malt profile required.
