Just got my first keg. Do I need to use beer line cleaner or is the cleaner I use to clean my other equipment fine? Chlorine based cleaner (pink powder).

No Chlorine please. it will pit stainless steel. What is Pink Powder?

I use PBW, but is a little expensive, but there are some DIY recipes similar to PBW. maybe try a search in the forums.

Oh, and unless you don't have a way to run cleaner and sanitizer through the gas and liquid valves you should go ahead and get the wrench to remove the valves to clean them. There are bunches of you tube videos that show how to do that.

PBW does a nice job on kegs. Have some extra money available? Get Mark's Keg Washer or build something like it. It makes cleaning and sanitizing kegs super easy.

I use LLC (Five Star's version of BLC) for my beer lines with great results.
