Is 301 Stainless Safe?

I'm wondering is 301SS safe to use for supports for a false bottom?

I believe nearly all brewing stainless is 300 series. I don't see why it would be unsafe.

Good article covering 301 characteristics here. I'd say you're in good shape wrt both fabrication and durability, and from all appearances it's at least as food-safe as 304...
