Comments Welcome...
Autumn's Bounty Imperial Nut Brown Ale

HighlandRanger,

I like this recipe and want to brew it but i have a few questions specifically around the Maple Syrup since i've never used it in a brew. I've seen EXTREMELY conflicting info out there and wondered if you could help.

Here it goes:

1. Is late addition in the mash or late boil? How late, i.e. timing?
2. Did you use Grade B or less to retain more maple flavor?
3. Have you ever used Maple Syrup Extract in place of the syrup?
- a lot of people say that syrup just dries out the beer and leaves no maple flavor.
4. How did this batch turn out in regards to nuttiness and maple flavor?

Thanks!
