I suck at math! Help please?

I just bottled a 5 gal. batch in which the OG was 1.07 and the FG is 1.01. So can some one explain the math for the ABV?

No worries I didn't take it that way. Thanks for the response. I just didn't know the calculation so you helped and I just feel silly that it was a simple subtraction.
