How to press my own false bottom?!

I have managed to get hold of a small sheet of perforated stainless steel, and am wondering about how to go about pressing it into a dome shape? I can bend it quite easily obviously, but in order to obtain the dome shape that I need I guess a workshop would use a VERY large amount of pressure to push the steel into a mould of some kind. Has anyone done this themselves and if so, how?

Body panels. Are beaten on a leather bag full of shot. Start in the middle and work your way out till you get the desired radius.

A sheet metal shop with an English Wheel will be able to do it easily and it shouldn't cost too much.
