I bought one of those 5 gallon reservoir barrels several months ago and have had an imperial brown ale aging in it for about 3 months. The beer tastes freaking amazing and I'm about to brew up an imperial stout to age in there so I can get the brown out.
The barrel definitely had some bourbon sloshing around in it when I racked the brown into it. I should have poured it out and measured how much it was but I wasn't really thinking that far ahead.
Anyway, does anyone have suggestions on how much bourbon I should re-add to the barrel to kinda mimic that extra bourbon that was already in there?
