Hot Water Washdown

did a little engineering in the brewery this weekend that made a HUGE difference!

Decided i needed a hot water supply in the garage/brewery.

Took the y fitting and attached it to the hot water supply for the Washing Machine - then the washing machine to one site of Y, freshwater hose to the other. TA DAAAA - hot water supply in the brewery. Has made cleaning A LOT faster and time to temp for strike and sparge water was cut in half.

I have a similar setup, but I put a ball valve at the end of my hose and a female camlock so that I can connected it directly to my HLT and let it fill with water, and turn it off/on while away from the facuet.

I have the faucet quick disconnects on the hot and cold sides so I can move the same hose to the cold water and connect it (again with the camlock) to my plate chiller when its time for cool down.

I agree the hot water helps out so much for clean up!

I have a RV drinking water hose that I run from a spigot I had installed in my garage. I tried one first with hot water even though it says right on the package only good to like 90*. It got all soft and blew out with 114* water.
Does that hose you bought say its okay for high temperatures? I have a tankless water heater and could run it right from that but I have yet to find a hose that says it's drinking water safe and high temp resistant.
