Well, HFCS being linked to obesity, means that it's not so easy to obtain here, it's also why many products with the same brand names available on both sides of the "pond" taste different. They don't use it so much here, if at all, as the health nazis would have "a field day" with the negative publicity.

Bee keepers tend to feed just straight sugar syrup off season, usually just made up with table sugar/sucrose. Whether that's thought as bad as HFCS for the bee's I don't know (yes, my father used to keep bee's but lost out to varroa)....
