I've been trying to decide what I want my first Belgian brew to be and since I don't have alot of experience with them I decided to try to do a clone of my favorite one I've ever had. It's called Verboden Vrucht made by Brouwerji van Hoegaarden. I had it in London last summer (haven't been able to find it anywhere around here, don't even know if it's in the US) and its one of the best beers I've ever had. It's a strong dark belgian ale, about 9% abv, pretty sweet, and had some interesting spice notes (I don't remember it perfectly since it's been almost a year since I've had it). If anyone has cloned this, had this, or has a good Belgian recipe based on my half-assed description I would be very appreciative. I brew partial mash but if you have a good AG recipe I can convert it. :mug:
